Sakura, or cherry blossom, is the quintessential flavour of springtime in Japan. It's ubiquitous in Japan and is used to flavour everything from sweets to drinks to ice cream and even pancakes. It's also an all-time favourite here at Peacock's HQ. Sakura, for those not familiar, tastes slightly floral and a bit earthy with a touch of vanilla.
Cream is infused with freshly-picked cherry blossoms from Pollokshields before being added to our ice cream base. The freshly churned ice cream is then finished off with chunks of housemade shortbread, using Scottish cultured butter in a nod to one of Japan's best selling biscuits.
